Bear Creek Elementary School
2500 Table Mesa Dr., Boulder, Colorado
Conditions -
The conditions of Bear Creek Elementary School are good. The school grounds are well kept and there are no major safety concerns to worry about. There is plenty of grass and gravel for soft landings. The only thing to watch out for is parts of the obstacle course are a little run down.

Security - Because we are talking about an elementary school here, there are a few obvious security points. First of all, the school is off limits for training during the week days until school is over with. While school is in session, it is considered trespassing to enter school grounds. However, when school is over with and on weekends, the place is abandoned and you will never run into any security issues.

Obstacles - The school grounds are a dream for traceurs and children alike. With three large playgrounds full of both old and new school equipment as well as a 75 yard long obstacle course, what more could you ask for in a training area? While the new playground equipment is cool, the old school stuff is even better because it is full of crazy bars and unique obstacles. The school also features a long obstacle course with two tracks right next to each other for racing. The obstacle course includes many tires, bars, walls, rails, and more to overcome. In addition the rooftops of the school include several large gaps for some spectacular jumps and cat leaps.
Features: Roof gaps, a 75 yard long obstacle course, and copious amounts of bars, rails, and other playground equipment.
Lacks: Not much.

Overall - Bear Creek Elementary is a great place to train. Located in a small neighborhood, you can train all day without any sort of disturbance. The playgrounds and obstacle courses offer some one of a kind movement opportunities with an emphasis on the technical stuff while the roof offers some big jumps that are more spectacular. The only drawbacks to this hotspot are some slightly run down structures and the fact that it is only available when school is not in session.
