Cherry Creek Mall
3000 East 1st Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80206

Conditions - The Cherry Creek Mall is a massive shopping center (one of the biggest in the state). It is open everyday of the week, and thus shoppers here act as both an audience and an obstacle. The most noteworthy areas for training here are contained within the parking garages, though there are several areas outside that are worth checking out.

Security - It's the mall. Security swarms the place. Realize that management does not want to lose shoppers because of us, nor do they want to get sued if we are injured on the mall's property. Use good judgment in deciding how to play the game.

Obstacles - The pictures are only a sample of what obstacles you will find at the mall. The architecture of the mall provides dense areas that are very good for training. Roof gaps, rail sets, dismounts, and parallel walls certainly qualify the mall as a hot spot. There are opportunities for people of all skill levels. The second and ground levels fuse together to provide excellent dismounts, kongs or whatever may suit your training needs. There is a set of railings on a handicap ramp that are perfect for practicing flow. As you move higher up in the garage, more advanced material arises. On the roof are two huge gaps and a small kong to cat (or precision) over a stairwell.

Overall - The Cherry Creek Mall should not be overlooked. As you can see, there are plenty of opportunities to train. So long as you are respectful of the environment around you, your time should be well worth it here. Since most of the good spots are indoors and lit, this place is a good area to train at during the night and bad weather.
