Taking Classes to the Next Level Recently, Matt Marshall and I have been working hard to improve and restructure our Colorado Parkour classes at The Spot Bouldering Gym. In the last two weeks, we built new equipment and revamped our curriculum. We invested nearly all of the class earnings and we have spent long days and sleepless nights to construct vault boxes, plyometric boxes, rails, and more. Over the past five months, we have seen much growth in our students and also in ourselves. We learned how to inform, motivate, and provide our students with the best opportunity to succeed. With the new class formats, curriculums, and equipment, we are applying these lessons to the best of our ability and in the highest of hopes of continuous improvement. The new classes will provide better and more structure, guidance, personal instruction, and better, realistic equipment to learn on. In the end, we think these new classes will be much more helpful than before and students will be better prepared to excel in parkour. As always, all classes will be held at The Spot Bouldering Gym and you will need to sign both a Spot waiver and a COPK waiver to be able to participate. The new classes will begin on March 3rd. To read more about the new classes, click here. We highly recommend the Parkour Fundamentals class be taken in its entirety due to its thoroughness and progressive nature. For example, classes near the end of the program will incorporate lessons learned from previous weeks. The Intermediate Class is slightly less structured and may not build upon prior classes. Due to staffing constraints, class will be on a first come, first served basis. Those who pre-register are guaranteed enrollment. To pre-register, e-mail coloradoparkour@gmail.com to arrange payment and scheduling details. You may also pre-register at the beginning of class on March 3rd. However, if you wait that long, enrollment is not guaranteed if pre-registration popularity is great. Additional class information can be found here. We look forward to hearing back from you and anticipate a great new beginning of parkour classes. Sincerely, Ryan Ford (Demon) |
