Quote: "You'll never be absolutely sure you
can make a jump until you are more than halfway across and looking at its end. It's the same with
life and all the challenges of life.
Jump with wisdom and daring, and then take a look and see if you are going to make it."
Q: How did you get into parkour?
A: Like most traceurs, it has always
been a way of thinking and moving for me. I just needed a name for it. I saw videos of David Belle
while in Japan, and knew that I had to practice it. I did from that day, and contacted Ryan (Demon)
back in Colorado. As soon as I got back, I started training with him. He became my mentor in Parkour,
and the rest is history.
Q: What is your most memorable parkour moment?
A: The 1st June 4th Jam. This jam was the
first time the community came together and one of the most mentally challenging days I ever had.
We did some of the biggest stuff in my experience, and that day I overcame several mental obstacles.
Plus, it was one of the last jams that I would have in Colorado until I came back to visit.
Q: What do you like most about parkour?
A: Parkour is a merging of philosophy and
physical training. Discipline and art. There are very few things in this world that can come
close. I love to be challenged, and to see progress.
To go where I have never been able to before and to see things in a new way.
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world for
parkour, where would it be?
A: Lisses, Primal Fitness in Washington,
back to Colorado...
Q: What are your future plans and/or dreams for your parkour?
A: I am a chiropractic student, and
am planning on being dang good at it. I would love to be the official Parkour
doctor and attend Parkour jams and gatherings all around the world, treating Traceurs.
Of all athletes, I believe Chiropractic to be most necessary in this discipline.
In addition, I am currently Co-authoring what hopes to be the first Parkour book.
I would like to see parkour grow, and to be there to watch it grow.
