Pearl Street Mall and Surroundings
Boulder, Colorado

Conditions - The conditions of the Pearl Street Mall are for the most part, good. The mall itself is well kept, busy, and fun to visit. However, the best parkour is found off of Pearl on and inbetween the adjacent streets of Walnut and Canyon. Here, the conditions are less busy, but still safe. In all areas here, however, you may run in to the occasional bum.

Security - Because this hotspot is so large (about an area of 3 by 10 blocks), the security can vary depending on where you are. Some of the businesses in the area have annoying security guards and there are some other places to be careful around including the RTD station and the CUPD office. Just be aware of where you are and always be respectful and move on if asked to leave. Also keep an eye out for bums.

Obstacles - The Pearl Street mall and surrounding areas offer almost every type of obstacle you can imagine. There is so much area to cover and so many alleys, courtyards, parking garages, and more, that in order to realzie the location's full potential, you must keep a constant eye out for opportunities. Experience has shown that the best areas to train here are actually found between Pearl and Walnut or Walnut and Canyon. What you find to do in this wide area is only limited by your skill and creativity.

Features: Several large parking garages, many courtyards full of rails.
Lacks: Not much.

Overall - The Pearl Street Mall area is a place where you can spend an entire day slowly moving from spot to spot. You can also spend an entire session here thoroughly training in one specific little part of the area. In addition, this area is within walking range of two other good hotspots, Boulder High School and the CU Boulder campus.
