Traceur: Cheetaur

Photographer: Ben

Location: Sakura Square, Denver, Colorado

Description: After sizing up the jump, Cheetaur becomes the first to do this roof gap in Sakura Square. Thanks to his ridiculous jumping abilities, Cheetaur performed the eight and a half foot jump between the two thin walls without hesitation.

Traceur's Comments: "To be honest, this jump was not that bad. No, I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything, but when it comes to precision jumps, I've reached a place in my mind that simply gives me a yes or no answer. See, if I can do any jump, its a precision. After you've done enough of them, your mind no longer is aware of risks. It is just a Yes or a No. When I got up there, it was a realization that the jump is much smaller than stuff that I have experienced in the past and doing it required no thought or hesitation. Just do it and move on. After I was done, people seemed impressed, but I couldn't tell why. It seemed simple, and just another obstacle. More importantly was that I was there to show that it was an obstacle that could be overcome. As GI Joe said, "Knowing is half the battle." This jump was nothing more than another piece of evidence in the quest to know my own body, nothing more, nothing less."

Photographer's Comments: "I was trying to show the beginning and end point of the jump while hopefully catching an interesting body angle. When photographing traceurs in action, I try to show the contrast between the human body and the surrounding environment."
