Traceur: Quazar Photographer: Essie Artist: Quazar Location: Skyline Park, Denver, Colorado Description: A graphics piece done by Quazar for Digital Media class. Traceur's Comments: "This one happened at the Tempest jam when everyone's attention was on a pretty hairy kong to precision into a planter box. Long distance kongs were then and are today still one of the most admittedly weak elements of my Parkour. Standing there at the park, I felt physically capable of the distance but still had some metal reservation, so I climbed up onto the rail and broad jumped the distance into the planter to gain some familiarity with the space. Turns out, my little hang time caught the photographer's eye and ended up in the album. Later on I used the two shots in an assignment for a digital imaging class and ended up with what you see now. For those who speak photoshop, what's there is a lot of layering and brushwork. The backdrop is filtered, the text is done in and outside of a type mask tool and the rest is just details. When I presented it though, people were less interested in all of that and more interested in the Parkour." *If you would like to be considered for Photo of the Month, please submit a high resolution photo along with all the information above to coloradoparkour@gmail.com. |
