Traceur: Strydzz Photographer: ? Location: Downtown, San Jose, CA Description: The picture was taken in downtown San Jose at a Jam on June 4th. Strydzz was representing COPK while running with the official San Jose Parkour Team. The San Jose crew took him around to their favorite "hot spots" to show case their talent and passion for Parkour. They ended up at a parking structure that they often visited, and challenged Strydzz to come up with a line to get from the top to the bottom. He made a line for himself and ended it with a nicely executed turn-vault down to the concrete. This was captured by a local photographer and put in a San Jose Parkour Team jam album. Traceur's Comments: "It was so inspiring to train with this relatively new crew in San Jose. It gave me a chance to talk with them and have them tell me a little about the Bay Area PK scene, and for me to tell them all about COPK. The crew consisted of around 6-9 people and they could not fathom the size of COPK when I told them we were 50+ strong!! All of the traceurs were relatively new and lacked originality, but this was due to the fact that they were all very new and had not developed an eye for all the possibilities their area posed (it was not due to a lack of talent!!). The leader of the crew wanted to see what I could do with the parking structure, and to quote him directly he said "Lets see how serious COPK trains". I proceeded to make my own line from the top down, and ended the run with a turn-vault down to concrete. The drop was around 10 feet and I had to clear a grassy patch that extended 3 feet from the wall. This area was brand new for me, so it was very exciting to come up with a run I had never done before! The crew was pretty surprised because I came up with a new line that they had never seen, and it just brought something new to the table for them and me. As the day progressed we all fed off each others enthusiasm and ran our hearts outs. This picture really sums up my jam with them, it was fresh and opened up new doors to us all!"
