Tiffany Square
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Conditions - Tiffany Square is an office/lease building and home to several
of Colorado Springs’ local radio stations. The architecture here is
reminiscent of most shopping malls, the only difference being that it’s
generally empty and free to roam and explore. On the inside you’ll find a
majority of tile surfaces as well as alot of gardening throughout the halls
that should really be respected. The interior is heated and very well kept,
with bathrooms and water fountains throughout, all of which make for a very
comfortable training environment. On the exterior is where you’ll find the
usual urban turf… plenty of brick, steel and cement. Just watch your step,
as there are one or two inconspicuous drops/gaps that could sneak up on you.

Security - The venue is structured in such a way that if you play it smart
one can easily coexist with the rest of its visitors without arousing any
unwanted attention. Nevertheless, you’re not completely without risk here.
Traffic in and around the building generally varies, on the west side
exterior are primarily radio stations and their employees who are usually
too concerned with their own work to give a group of traceurs any trouble.
The rest of the exterior is virtually abandoned on all days of the week save
for the occasional construction traffic. On a good day the only people you’
ll find around here are restaurant employees and groundskeepers, both of
which usually won’t give you a second look. Once in a while though you
might find your self at the bad end of a conversation with any one of
several office employees or one very cranky building manager, none of whom
will likely appreciate your desire to share their building. Your best bet
would be to start on the inside and if asked to leave just move outside
where you won’t encounter any further trouble.

Obstacles - Areas include, an old movie theater
turned church, an entirely
abandoned office complex spanning the top floor, one large
fountain/escalator/elevator structure in the main entrance, a loading dock
out back with some enormous obstacle variety, and any of the other number of
boxes, planters, stairwells and gaps inside and out. Each suite in the
building hosts a different architectural style and you’ll find a great
progression of difficulty throughout these conditions for any skill level to
appreciate.
Features: Large gaps, drops, and unique concrete walls.
Lacks: Rails and other technical/precise obstacles.

Overall - What’s unique about the Square is it’s versatility, you can train
a little bit of just about everything in a variety of conditions all within
one vastly diverse complex. What’s more, it makes an ideal refuge from
Colorado’s unpredictable weather during the off-season, when practical
training spots become scarce. With many traceurs living close by, the
Square has become a stomping grounds for much of the local parkour community and
a proving ground for many up and coming locals. The area is dense with
other parkour friendly spots, all within walking distance.
