30 parkour practitioners came together on June 27, 2009 for a night of parkour dodgeball. There were tournaments for 1v1 and 3v3 as well as a free for all elimination and a massive 15v15 game. 07.23.2009 | Rock Hard Jam this Sunday
The first monthly Rock Hard jam, hosted by COPK, is this Sunday in Boulder. We will be meeting at 11 AM the Engineering Center courtyard at CU (directly adjacent to Regent Dr). Rock Hard Jams are a free, new monthly tradition that will take place on the last Sunday of every month at a different location every time. These jams are intended to provide a positive environment to strengthen the local parkour community through training and having fun. After a challenging warm up led by APEX instructors, people will be free to train however they want or join in some special drills, games, or workouts led by APEX instructors.

04.13.2009 | Grand Opening of APEX Movement
We would like to thank everyone who showed up to our grand opening and especially to those who helped us get there! Several hundred people showed up, over 50 lbs. of food was raised for the homeless shelter, and much fun was had by all. We look forward to seeing all of you again soon!

03.01.2009 | School Workshop
Last Thursday, Ryan Ford and Matt Marshall led a parkour workshop for 13 students from Long View High School in Lakewood. The class resulted in some great feedback and plans have been made for a follow up course at APEX Movement later this month.

After 2.5 yrs. of teaching in Colorado, we are excited to announce the opening of the world's largest parkour gym. The facility will be opening in downtown Denver next month. As a community project, we are open to any and all ideas, help, and support for the new gym. This weekend, COPK head instructors Matt Marshall and Ryan Ford are getting certified by CrossFit. CrossFit is a leader in functional fitness and many of their ideas and workouts are incorporated in workouts at the COPK Academy.

From COPK to all you traceurs out there, we'd like to wish you a Happy New Year!

This year, COPK had 16,700 unique visitors, once again, a new record for a year! 2008 also saw many new exciting things for parkour in Colorado. Some of the highlights include the National Jam in August, parkour being introduced into several new schools, training the Navy at several COPK hotspots, expanding classes to Denver, and media appearances in Outside Magazine, FLYP Media, The Daily Camera, and more. COPK had a successful year in training and through the advancement of parkour as a known and respected discipline in the state.

Parkour is growing at a faster rate than ever so from COPK, have a safe and successful year of parkour. Train hard and always work to be useful and make positive contributions to others in your community through parkour!
